FULL SYSTEMS

If you are interested in the flexibility of a modular system suitable a variety of activities (cinemas, sound systems, music stages, energy challenges) you will require Power Generators (Bikes/Hand-cranks etc) to generate electricity and a Power Management System to manage and feedback it to the audience.

How many generators do you need? Some important things you must consider:

1. What are you powering/ What is the power consumption of the equipment (in Watts)?

2. What kind of audience size are you catering for?

PEDAL & HAND GENERATORS

Lets generate some electricity.

At Electric Pedals we convert human energy into electricity, and our preferred choice of power generation is (you guessed it!) the BICYCLE. All our gear is built with pedal-power in mind so if you are keen on using human power for your events, you are going to require something to generate electricity.

Our bicycle hub generators, friction generators and DC motors produce electricity by converting the kinetic energy from pedalling or hand-cranking and are the starting point for pedal-powering your own events.

POWER MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Regulate & Convert Human Energy to Mains Power!

Once you have generated electricity using our hand-cranks or bicycles, you will need convert it into a form we can use and manage safely. We build our own power stations to do this for you.

Without the use of batteries, we have designed and built power management systems to handle the electricity produced by our power generation equipment. They will cleanly, safely and efficiently convert your pedal-power into a power source similar to that used at home.

These stations are the heart of your system and play a necessary role in the running of human-powered events.

QUARK

Manages the power from up to 16 generators.

OPTIONAL: Busboard Distribution

Maybe the power of a single bike or hand crank isnt going to be enough for what you had in mind. If you are looking to power something bigger, like a cinema with music, projector, lights etc, you are going to need a number of bikes and you are going to need to link them all together and distribute the electricity.

We have come up with a easy and robust solution and have built our own bus-boards capable of linking 2 or more bikes together. Each bus board takes a pair of bicycles and creates a stable base for mounting the bikes ready to be linked to more bus-boards or to your power station. Not only does it increase stability, it eliminates the use of messy cables and minimises trip hazards.
