An intimate & unique cinematic experience

Our bicycle-powered cinemas are 100% human powered and completely off-grid. All the electricity for the performance is produced by the cyclists. There are no batteries, generators or back-up power sources. Clean, efficient and sustainable; we arrive at each event with no stored power, and leave with nothing.

Having generated their own energy, we hope that people will be encouraged to think about energy consumption and, hopefully, even make a small step towards reducing their own every day energy consumption.

We offer four cinema set-ups: MICRO, SMALL, MEDIUM and BIG

The cinema set-up you require will depend on audience size and whether your event is indoors or outdoors. Please ensure you read our further information section before you get in touch.

MICRO

Our Micro cinema is single unit with built-in power management system, media player and sound.

It operates on the energy generated from just 1-2 adult or children and is suitable for audiences of up to 50 people.

Ideal for small audiences, classrooms, corporate events or pop-up cinemas in obscure places. Upload short films to the internal media player with a USB stick and the cinema auto-starts when the cyclist starts to generate.

It is our most compact system and can be easily transported using a bicycle and trailer.

SMALL

MEDIUM

Our Medium Bicycle-powered cinema uses 8-10 bicycles and a 4.3m wide fast-fold screen and is suitable for audiences of up to 150 viewers.

This cinema size is for indoor use only. For larger outdoor cinemas, you will require our Big bicycle-powered cinema below.

BIG

FURTHER INFORMATION

You can hire our team of friendly experts to support your event. We provide and manage all the equipment; projector, media player, sound system, energy-generating bicycles and our unique power management system with power feedback display.

We operate all over the UK, Europe and beyond.

All you need to do is arrange the film license, market your event and supply some event marshalls for the larger events.

We supply:

• Adult & Children’s Bicycle Generators with programmable wheel lights

• Power Management System and Energy Feedback Display

• Projector appropriate for the audience size

• PA system suitable for your audience size

• Macbook / DVD player

• Projection Screen

• Technical support staff

• Risk Assessment

• Public liability insurance

• Blu-ray copy of the film (if available).

You supply:

• Film license (budget up to £150 plus VAT, depending on the film)

• Event logistics, management, marketing etc.

• Event marshals (if required)

• Suitable space to host your event; Blackout tent, indoor or outdoor space (needs to be quite ambient with no direct sunlight)

IMPORTANT

• Please check sunset times for outdoor screenings, performances will ideally begin 30 minutes after sunset.

• We cannot operate in heavy rain or high wind.

• We strongly recommend you consider a contingency space in case of bad weather.
